Our trip to Český Krumlov was rather last minute idea. "And why not to go to Krumlov?" was my question. Coincidence had it, that hotel OldInn was the first hotel that popped out and even though we gave chance to some more, after not very hard consideration we landed up booking Hotel OldInn. We loved the interior on the pictures, its location and also the "We accept dogs"
Hotel is very well situated on one of the most interesting and most visited parts of the "UNESCO" South Bohemian town of Český Krumlov - Svornosti Square.
It is also one of the oldest ones there, it dates 600 years back. This house was a small brewery, gingerbread bakery as well as laundry throughout the years.
Interior design is very close to our heart because it has this Scandinavian vibe, which we truly enjoy. The comforts combined with elegant and modern luxury is something, that will always get us.
Rooms are spaciously designed with a great taste and some interesting touches such as a TV in a golden picture frame. We got to enjoy some tea and coffee service in the room as well as mini chocos on the bed (i did not know they still do it)
You also get the opportunity to choose from three different kinds of pillows, just pick up the phone and call the room service.
Our furry baby also got a bowl and two complimentary biscuits in it, which we very appreciate as the price per night and dog is 500CZK. We payed even more in hotels (ridiculous price for a 5kg pooch), but here we felt like he was welcomed at least.
We did not try the restaurant, that is part of the hotel, but the menu looked pretty appealing, focusing on Asian food with some international dishes as well.
In the morning restaurant turns into a breakfast place from 7 till 10 am. Here honestly, we expected a bit more. Limited selection of fruits, almost no desserts, butter and jam were on the absolute opposite side from breads and rolls, no alternatives such as soy yogurt or milk. Warm buffet was about sausages and bacon, but no pancakes for example or oats.
